Coffee

I grind coffee by hand, but God it takes forever.

My folks roast their own in a popcorn machine that smokes like crazy but churns out gold.

I’ve had instant coffee that wasn’t up to standard with the rich fancy cream I brought home in glass jars.

I’ve made lattes in a shop where the espresso always burned. Don’t bother with the dial-in, it won’t make a difference.

Her watery coffee tastes better than all of my French press, instant coffee, moka pot dreams. And now I take my black coffee with far too much sugar and not enough cream.
