Brother

I would carry my brother around on my hip. He was little and sweet, and far too clever for someone so small. A tiny and infectious giggle to make you smile on your very worst day.

Sweet baby brother, all grown up now. Offering me hard lemonade from his girlfriend’s mini fridge.

He’s good, and he’s funny with his quiet dark humor and his small own regard for injustice out there.

Magnetic and strong, and sad and cool. Brimming with thought and the judgy family eyebrows.

We were all grown a little too soon. Slow down just a while longer.
