Fly

If my joints ache ‘til they pop and spread out into wings I’ll spend my days cliff diving.

I’ll land on the water and walk around. I’ll jump off of buildings for fun. Walk on tree branches and swing my legs over bridges.

I’ll fly up and scream where no one can hear me. I’ll throw tantrums and run away. I won’t mind my business at all.

I’ll cut off my hair so it won’t blind me when I fly with my broken joint wings. I’ll be mean. Hard to forget with my reckless loud laugh and my angry eyes.
