Baseball
I bought sunflower seeds special for August. I downloaded ESPN.
We can’t agree on a team. Her girl plays for New York, and mine plays for Boston. We’re rivals picking fights over most attractive player.
We play at held breath and anticipation. I laugh when she shouts at the screen.
We don’t know the rules very well. Maybe we don’t really have to. Because she watches her wife play baseball, and the rest of us watch her. She’s having their baby, come January.
And it’s just dirt and grass and face paint. But it’s also bliss on our tiny tv.
