Gift
Little flowers grown up blue from the sidewalk. Sunlight on my shoulders when I wake in the morning. Little squirrel scurry by on my daily commute. Forgotten nostalgia found again.
Warm bread, freshly baked. Good wine. Painted nails, lip balm, and moka pot espresso.
Stolen moments wedged in between hours of work. A call from a friend with radiant news. Tomatoes from your garden. Cozy hotel sheets.
Come brush my hair. Wear my clothes. Eat my food. Come take too much and give just enough.
Pretty pretty world, poison me for the real one. Give me one pretty thing more.
