Snow
Cover the floor of the bathroom. Sparkle and land in my hair. Pelt at my eyes through the windshield. Keep track of the places I’ve been.
Ruin my morning commute. Gas up my electric bill. Melt on my skin and freeze me cold all the way down to the bone.
And I will crave marshmallow and peppermint sticks and huddling close to a fire. I’ll think of movies only good once a year, and too many flashing lights.
Flurry past my window and maybe I’ll stop to admire. Maybe I’ll pull out my memories, and color them pretty and rose.
